This was one of the best experiences I have lived in my life, the guys were extremely attentive, they were guides of the community so they knew absolutely everything, they picked me up at the door of my hotel and the trip was very quiet, no traffic and a beautiful view, upon arrival I was received in a very warm way, I felt among lifelong friends, they gave me a coconut to drink natural water from there, it was unique! at the beginning of the tour everything was completely beautiful! everything, completely everything was green and natural. We arrived to a small island where I could meet the raccoons and dance typical music, then they taught me how to fish! I really didn’t know this way because they do it very ancestral, I love this! I definitely met a lot of new people! at the end they took me back to my hotel, I loved everything!

Fishing in the manglares of La Boquilla was one of the highlights of our trip. It started out with coconut water straight from the coconut itself (we later ate the coconut meat too!). We then hopped on a boat and entered the mangroves. It is hard to tell how big they are from the starting point, but trust me they are expansive. We stopped at their fisherman’s island along the way and sang and danced and observed their fish farm! After that we fished, which is a lot harder than it looks! It was a beautiful trip, led by one of the town’s very own. 10/10 recommend!

I think this has to be in my top 3 tours I’ve ever done while traveling. The experience that is provided is amazing and extremely worth the value. The fishing was so cool and they let us cast as many times as we wanted. The local educational portion of this tour was such a blast and it was so cool to see how fish are raised and to witness part of the musical culture. I would 100% recommend this tour and would love to go again. Jamie and Andres have the best personality and make this tour as great as it is.

This was a FANTASTIC tour! Our guide, Jamie, was so knowledgeable, friendly and fun. She was also from the community and it was such an honor to experience her pride in sharing her culture with us. The mangroves were amazing (such a peaceful and tranquil boat trip), and it was so much fun to learn how to cast fishing nets (even though I have a lot to learn!), dance to live music, drink from a coconut, and meet lots of animals (tortoises, dogs, cats, and the adorable little crabs that live amongst the mangroves). This has been my favorite experience during my visit; cannot recommend this tour enough!

Super good guide! Very welcoming and informative about their natural mangrove. It was not at all something I had imagined, I felt like I was in a National Geographic episode. They were nice to show their way of showing their ways of fishing and way of life. Can definitely be recommended!

This was completely unique! when I planned my trip to Cartagena I never thought to live an experience like this, I felt disconnected from the world and connected to nature, the mangroves, the birds, the bisa, everything was wonderful, Jeime was my guide and he was very kind to explain everything, without a doubt, I would recommend this experience to anyone who visits the city.
